Specialties don’t confine one’s passion to help the world become a better place. Ashissh Raichura, a man who dwells from the IT industry, moved to Medical Science for the discoveries that made him a Doctor, a discoverer or merely a world’s man today.
As his description reads out, an IoT (Internet of Things) expert, a doctorate in Computer Science and everything a person achieves over a span of two decades in the field of Technology, Mr. Ashissh Raichura is as surprising as the IT industry has always been. His initiatives, eagerness, fitness, and style helps him sustain his charm and kindness.
Why an IoT (Internet of Things) expert?
It roughly goes back to the year 2009 when Science and Technology were at its peak to discover and invent new possibilities to answer the question ‘What is next?’ and ‘Where is the world heading now?’
The intriguing invention of Cloud Computing put questions to rest and paved ways for the expansion in the IT industry. The shrinking size and space of the services provided became the brainchild behind heaps of ideas and things that can be done with the help of the ever growing IT sector.
From the CTO of HealthSaverz to the south pole of the IT industry. How did this happen?
The hereditary health problems consciously demand focus on your body and its progress in the future. Health problems had always run in Ashissh’s family. His father suffering from Alzheimer’s has given him some understanding of how fitness of our body is an important aspect for sustaining a healthy life. And since then, health for him has been an important domain on his radar for the past ten years.
These issues wanted him to shift his focus to the medical field. He explains that with his wife’s friend’s help, who is a doctor, he could access the content after his research and analysis through the internet. He later realized that the vitals of our body is the nascent aspects within us that are required to remain fit. He thus dug more into the vitals and spoke to healthcare professionals to study about something so basic yet immensely important.
What progress has your transformation into the Medical field brought to you?
Mr. Ashissh speaks about how healthcare is a sector where technological usage has been minimal as far as basics are concerned. He realizes that the ecosystem is entirely ruptured and people take health for granted. He throws light on the importance of monitoring our body vitals and the essence of helping our body run for a longer time. His major concern lies within the idea of treatment. He explains that prevention can help eradicate chronic diseases which in return will help people focus more on their health.
His message to the health care professionals states that “Let’s start with prevention and not run to treatments. Allopathy, Homeopathy, and Ayurveda are effective and good but, let us all come down to one platform that is prevention. Let’s not be treatment focused.”
How does this device function and how efficient is it for a common man?
Mr. Ashissh has developed a compact device that weighs 90 grams and is 3X3 inches in size. This device measures five major vitals of our body viz. Blood Pressure, Blood Oxygen Level, Body Temperature, Heart Rate, ECG (done through bio electronic heart rate with Index Finger and Thumb) and records the information on our phone or a smart device that notifies the user when their levels are crossed.
What reformations would you like to bring in the field of Medicine with your new device?
As humans, we avoid spending money on curing chronic diseases and hence the death ratio regarding lack of health care is more than the general. The device, Mr. Ashissh explains, is a compact device capable of measuring in total 18 parameters of which nine are inclusive in it as of now. He is also focusing on helping the lower middle class, and the people from remote areas and villages afford this device so that they do not ignore their health care due to lack of educational knowledge about the importance of healthy living.
He has seven such innovative devices that take us back to the basic needs in healthcare, and he looks forward to paying heed on launching them in the coming years. He opens up about his father suffering from Alzheimer’s and how his yet incurable disease has inspired him to come up with a longing life and a normal mundane for patients.
How did this much-awaited change occur?
Mr. Ashissh explains that the current ecosystem is not problem focused. The startups should look up to the problem, and once the solution to the problem is found, money, name, and fame will follow. He feels that the current ecosystem doesn’t focus on the resolution of the problem but more on their return on investment. Through this device, he expects to spread a message that the focus driven startups that help cure the problem automatically pave their way to the ladder of success.
Conclusively, Mr. Ashissh tries to change the myth in the minds of many through his device that healthcare professionals don’t need technology to help prevent problems. He explains that his device can help doctors understand the symptoms of a body or a disease without ambiguity and hence the patients can be cured with more attention. When asked about the name of the device, he feels that there has to be an emotional connect in the name that will help him reach out to not only metropolitans but also people from the rural areas.
Lastly, he invites the aspiring students who are interested in developing this empire with varied devices that can help measure not only the basic vitals but also other such innovative devices. He is a man with the will and a soul with an urge to make this world a better place to live in. His aspirations and ideas when combined gives even a ruptured ecosystem a solution for a greener future.
